agnes briggs: fairy tale stories (coming soon!)

hello! my name is Ashley, i live in hicksville, usa [otherwise known as central FL], i'm 27 years old. i write, confiscate, collect, and daydream.

i have a few different projects going on right now!

1-my main zine, which i focus most of the time on, is my fairy tale zine, agnes briggs.  right now i am working on issue #2.  it's a loooong time coming; i had 2 fairy tale stories that were going to be in the same zine because they complimented each other so well, but the first story ended up being so long i decided it was good enough to stand on its own.  anyway, i had been writing this story for nearly a year, and i finally finished it recently.  now that the content is finished i'm in the process of collaborating with a friend who's a talented artist for the illustrations within the zine.  it should be ready by June 2012, i hope!  featured stuff: shrinking girls, rivers that look like rainbows, and immortality.  oooh.

2-i also just finished a new zine called summer 1998.  it's my first attempt at a non-fiction perzine.  it's small and i finished it over a weekend, but i'm proud of how it came out.  it mostly has to do with my strict upbringing as a Jehovah's Witness - and there's a little teenage romance thrown in there, too!
