my wife comes from Adelaide so here is where I ended up! in a nice new house in a nice suburb with a teenage daughter... a long way from...
i read an article about science fiction zines from the 50s in a horror mag in the 70s! and when the horror/splatter explosion of the early 80s hit i started doing a zine about them, then a music zine when i was doing a punk radio show... faked it ...
jeez mate, i wish this country could accomodate that many but yeah, getting more printed does make each issue cheaper... how long does it take to shift that many?
Sprak! is usually 50 or 60 first run and then 10 or 20 to follow up when i get low. a couple of other one offs have been limited to 10 or 20 depending on how much extra work i want to do (printing paper bags/cdr's that sorta guff)
i havent forgotten - just waiting for a job payment so i can do my posting out - househusband duties dont pay too well :D
let me know when you send them to format - their opening times are a pain (3-6pm) cos i have to juggle picking my daughter up from school with my desire to look at zines!
fair call - maybe two pins out of three? or no d/qs?

yep - thats about it - good old rupert... and i think it was our fair city (adelaide and the news) that gave the bastard his kickstart!
this going to show up at adelaide's zine store? cos yr work has impressed me (and that dont happen much anymore)
since i can barely get j-pegs to upload i'm impressed!
ha! cant say ive seen a simpler explanation!
i'm supposed to be posting my zine out anyway so i'll just add you to the list. (that is when i get some money together for postage and stop wasting it on coffee)

after a bike ride home from the print shop...
i have in my sweaty hands the latest issue of Sprak! (issue #5) full of b-grade fun, rock n roll exploitation flicks, ozploitation, zombies, nuns in their undies, werewolves and tomata du plenty on the cover! what more could you want? coupla bux or stamps or trade or whatever...

ok, the computer broke down a little while back and bored i made an old fashioned cut'n'paste zine using ads from the 40s, old 78s and a great column about how to finish the vietnam war by using consumerism! its only a few pages and its going to the printshop monday so if anyone wants a copy, drop me a line - i'm happy to trade for zines, boxing stamps, elvis sightings, whatever... but no rhyming poetry!!! ok, even i have limits.

- kami--i got your zine a few weeks ago. i just got all caught up in craziness and forgot to let you know. actually, what reminded me was that i watched _zombie lake_ yesterday afternoon. the poor zombies were covered in what looked like tempera paint.

also, i really, really, really hope i didn't send you a copy with the crab people comic out of order. the gluestick glue gave out and i didn't pay good enough attention when i glued it back down so screwy copies got mixed in with good ones...
