First, i'd like to apologize if my english is not always correct :)
I made a fanzine with my boyfriend about 8 months ago, called "Mort-né" (borndead in english). It's a poor, B&W, six-pages, rough, bad quality paper that groups paintings, drawings, photographies, poems and writings of us and friends, the aim being to shake a little the boring little posh city we lived in. We wanted to show that students and people who practised art without selling or making "good art" were worth seeing.
We copy only 100 zines, mainly because we are paying it and we don't have much (being students&jobless!)
Every issues, we glue on each copy a little present/surprise (which takes a long time!) we offered to our readers little pearls found on the ground, coin-shaped chocolate to help the crisis, letters-shaped pastas to help anorexia...
We precise we have a kind of special humor, we love to mock everyone, including us and our zine!
we don't do it for fame or money anyway, even if that would help for a higher quality of print...
Feel free to contact us if you are interested in the zine or if you have Photos/drawings we might like to publish...
In September 2009, we are moving to Montréal, Cnada, where we hope to open a place for art, zine and concerts!
