[I deleted this part...]
Anyway, I've been into zines a bit since I was a kiddie, made my first zine at about 14/15 I think, it was obviously shit. My next effort was when I was 17, it was noticeably better but not so great. Then at around the same I did a perzine (before I knew what a perzine was) which got a
much more positive response.
I didn't really do anything (zine wise) for a long, long time. I'd been trying to make music and putting on gigs. When I found myself unable to put on gigs anymore (cos I lived in the least gig-friendly place I've ever been to in my entire life) I got very restless and encountered some brilliant zines. I started making my own using the name I'd used for my original perzine
City Sacker because I couldn't think of a better name. Since then I've done 5 issues (#2-6) as well as 2 slightly different ones under the name
Optical Devices.
City Sacker is an a4 folded to a7 zine and is available from
Caramel Distro in London, and from gigs in Birmingham, and sometimes other places. Or of course, direct from me. It's always free.
Optical Devices is a4 folded to a6 which so far has only been available at 2 nights in Birmingham, the most recent being
ATTA Girl., or direct from me. Again, free.
I'm heavily into DIY and indiepop, I'm vegan and am at least highly receptive to anarchist ideas, and possibly am an anarchist, who can tell? Emma Goldman does it for me, the Lucksmiths do it for me, social organisation without hierarchy does it for me, dancing to twee pop does it for me. Sunshine, comics, red wine, Milky Wimpshake and autonomy.
