Niku & the Ephemeral Mailbox Museum

I make zines (crafts, mail art, etc.) under the Ephemeral Mailbox Museum and Sweet Tooth. Most of my zines are specifically themed; places I've lived, mail art, crafts, travel, collage art, mental health, etc.
My process is mostly cut-and-paste layout and I usually take a long time to complete a zine and usually have a few in progress at once. I have an etsy shop and a craft blog, please visit!
I especially like zines about crafts, mental health, place and space, and some really well-written personal zines that are out there.

I have two new issues of my zine, Telegram Ma'am out now. Issue 19 is the winter survival issue. I made it for those of us who have depression year-round and find Winter especially difficult. This issue of Telegram Ma'am is quarter-sized, 16 page...

I just browsed your Etsy shop. You have some sweeeeeet items for sale. I love the skeleton dress! (However, i am more buxom than the dress will allow.)

I would LOVE to trade zines with you! If you send me your mailing address, I will send whatever zines you want, then once you get them, just send me whatever of yours you think is fair.

and yes, it is the necklace you made that I am wearing in the photo. I adore that necklace. I can't even begin to describe how much I love it. I wear it SO MUCH and would wear it every day if only all my shirts a neckline that showed it off properly.

And people ask me about it all the time too. I particularly like it when folks jump a little when they realize what it is! Ha!

I just got Last Known Address from Parcell Press and really liked it a lot. I have been kind of dissapointed in the zines I have read lately. Your zine was a stand-out and the best one I have read in a while. I like how just by hearing the stories of your old houses/apartments showed me a lot about you and your life. <3

Hi Niku :)

I really loved the zines that you sent me in our swap. I've been showing them to all my arty friends. Going to use them to help teach my art class how to make mixed media artworks. Anyway, I wrote about you on my blog:

Niku, the comment you left on my page this morning moved me to near tears, in all seriousness. I'm glad you're still going strong, conducting workshops (cool!), making art. I'd love to see what you're up to these days!

Would you happen to be the Niku I think you are? Bagelquest Niku? The one with whom I had the pleasure of writing secret messages on little scraps of paper and slipping them into random PO boxes one day in Northern California? That Niku?
