Introvert, Click Clack, & The RVA Zine Fest.

THIS IS ME

I am Nicole Introvert. I have written the personal zine Introvert for about 13 years now... and yet am only on issue #6. But isn't that how we zinesters work? Quality over quantity! I love zines and zine culture. Independent media is one of the most important things in my life.

I started Click Clack Distro in August 2008. My goal in that is to distribute zines and zine related items to help make them more attainable. Being in zine culture for over a decade I have seen a number of distros open & close... or "open" and then are never heard from again. I felt the need to open this distro to have something solid and hopefully make it an important part of the zine community by providing proof that zines are still alive.

I also am an organizer for the Richmond Zine Fest.

Click Clack Distro is closing. Free Shipping and Zines.

Posted on November 13, 2012 at 7:00am 6 Comments

I am sad to announce that Click Clack Distro will start the process of closing down shop. Due to my work schedule, I can no longer put as much energy into the distro as I thought I could. If I cannot give this 100% then I don’t believe that it is right to keep going.

As of now I can no longer accept international orders. I apologize for this, but USPS requires that you go to a clerk during open hours for international shipments, and I can no longer make it during that time, especially…

Things You Say Distro temporarily closed due to Hurricane Sandy

Posted on October 30, 2012 at 10:39am 0 Comments

Per Things You Say Distro's Facebook:

"Things You Say will be closed for some time. The post office where I ship from was flooded out and damaged. My whole town is either under water or in a blackout. I have no power or Internet so I can't shut down the website. Please post this where you can (zine websites/message boards) for me? I just don't want people ordering when I can't fulfill their orders. Thanks!"

Comp zine on coming out atheist.

Coming Out Scarlet – Atheists Unite.

I NEED YOUR ATHEIST COMING OUT STORIES!  In approximately 500 words, please talk about coming out as an atheist and also try include encouragement for others to come out.  Let people know WHY coming out as a non-believer is important and how it has benefited your life.  I’d like to try to keep these essays more on the positive side for the sake of encouraging others.  Even if you had a hard coming out  with…

If you want your zine to be carried by distros.... USE them.

Posted on December 13, 2011 at 11:59am 0 Comments

Just a little frustration from the zine distro front.   I get a TON of submissions.  90% of which I cannot take.  Some of those I would give a whirl, but it is impossible to do without knowing if you'll sell anything.

For as many people that are sending zines out to distros for consideration... I ask that you think about also utilizing zine distros for purchases.  Or help out by sending people to the distros where your zines are carried.

Otherwise, they are…

Hey you! Great to see you a couple of weeks ago. I had fun. Thanks for the recommendations, zine-wise, too. I have really enjoyed the When Language Runs Dry compilation. How did Richmond go?

p.s. If you're going to be around tomorrow evening maybe we could go out for drinks after the fest! I mentioned this to Taylor too, he seemed into the idea. Either way I'll be at the coffee beforehand. Can't wait to see you! <3
