TELEGRAM MA'AM 18 / YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL 9

Tukru and I made a split zine across the ocean!

Telegram Ma'am #18 is a love letter to my bike, a beautiful vintage cruiser. There are notes on anxiety and depression as well, being a weird girl in a small town, going to zine gatherings, and adventures with my local friends. I write about learning how to ride my bike again after the snow melted, late-night bike rides, hanging out at the library, and challenging myself to communicate more assertively.

In which one zinester regains access to her PayPal account...

Hello friends! A few months ago I lost my PayPal account (it is a long story involving debt, an expired credit card, and crummy customer service on the part of PP, please don't ask), but I just recently got the account back, so I just wanted to let you know that you can now, once again, get zines from my Etsy shop and pay with PayPal rather than well-concealed cash. I also wanna thank the kind people who continued reading my zines in the meantime without griping about the wee inconvenience of ac… Continue

Other Places You Can Find My Zines

Since losing my PayPal account, my zines have become a little less accessible to some folks. At this time I can only accept trades and well-concealed cash. I wanted to provide a link to distros that carry my zines, or that will soon be carrying my zines. A few of these distros also have zines that are no longer available directly from me. Special thanks to the fine friends who keep my zines in stock and get them out to those who wanna read them!

Life Without PayPal

My PayPal account was closed a few weeks ago, and I am still adjusting to life without it. It’s funny how little time it takes for such a service to be taken for granted and then one day, it’s gone.

Now I’m back to the good old days, accepting only cash or trades for my zines. Remember well-concealed cash? Once PayPal came along, all those cute little envelopes with stickers and colourful ink, bundled up $1 U.S. bills and Canadian $2 coins taped to a piece of paper or thin cardboard inside, sto… Continue

Hey sistah, I reviewed your split zine! I think it's actually going to be the description on the Vampire Sushi distro site. Just wanted to let you know. hello-amber.blogspot.com.

Due to the... Water? Bahahhahaha.

I got some wet mail today so they might be doing you a favor. Yours were fine but a magazine I ordered was all damp along the bottom and I had to leave it in front of my space heater to dry and now the bottom of the cover is wrinkly.

Your Etsy says you have TM10 and 12 still but are you all out of 11, 13 and 14? I was raised on comics so I always feel like I need to own the complete run of a series.

Hey M,
I got your zines today and just sent you a letter yesterday. I sort of forgot they were coming or I would've waited for them to arrive and then responded to them in the letter as well, but oh well.

I can't believe I never looked it up on Wikipedia before (I've lived here for eleven years) but a wolfberry is an actual thing! It's got a bunch of cool aliases including mede berry and matrimony vine. (New pickup line: "Want to taste my matrimony vine?" and then pull a handful of wolfberries out of my pocket.) They look really cool, though.

I smell a wolfberry zine in my future.

I suppose I need yours too, now that I think about it.

I'm going to make a concentrated effort from now on to just keep a zine or twin in my bag at all times. That way if I unexpectedly wind up waiting for a bus or sitting around a waiting room I'll have something to do. And they're lighter than novels.

Oh, me neither. But I am anyway.

I can send you out YS!3 and tk on Monday. In exchange for... TM16 and 15?

I still haven't read 17 or 18. I've been doing nothing but school readings the past two weeks and haven't touched any of the zines I got at Canzine. I already had a stack of a dozen and then two arrived from your sister today so it's just getting higher and higher. And I did a dozen other trades over here since actively joining last week which means I have still more on the way.

Oh well, it just means I'll have a lot to read over Christmas break. Anyway, having too many zines to read is one problem I've never had in my life.
