I'm not sure if anyone already posted anything about this but I was wondering how and where everyone else gets their zines printed / copied? At the moment I'm at Uni and thankfully have access to…Continue

Eco Zinesters

I guess this is kind of vague, but I'm amazed no one made this group sooner. This one's for people who consider the environment within zine-making, whether by writing about it, using recycled paper or whatever :)xoxSee More

Hello there,
I think, write, and draw more than talk...
As you can see, I write a zine called 'Larry' that I'm trying to put out quarterly. Each one is basically made up of stuff I've thought about over the months previous to making each issue, plus accompanying illustrations.
Trades are very welcome :)
Erm yeah, that's about it. Thanks for looking at my page :D

'Larry' Issue Five

Posted on February 25, 2012 at 4:41pm 0 Comments

Larry issue five is A5, 32 pages long, and photocopied in black and white. As always, each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of the cartridge paper cover.

Writing in this issue includes social networking, zine fests, living with a smoker, and a bunch of other stuff, with illustrations throughout. I've done 50 copies, and would love to trade :)

Thanks for reading

'Larry' issue four...

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 3:47pm 2 Comments

The fourth issue of 'Larry' is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper. Each one is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover using a slightly crooked ruler.

This issue's content includes job-hunting, sports, walking, a guide to stretching paper, and a bunch of other things, with illustrations throughout, but the scan quality on the drawings is pretty rough this time around.

Forty copies have been…

'Larry' issue three

'Larry' issue three is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper (though this time it's 120gsm paper as oppose to 80, so it's a little heavier...). Each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover, this time using a sharper scalpel, but with a rather crooked ruler.

Content in this issue includes friendships, promiscuity, visual identity, a guide to the drawing technique of sgraffito, and a bunch of other…

Larry Issue Two

Posted on March 22, 2010 at 4:37pm 1 Comment

The second issue of Larry is finally finished, albeit about a week overdue; it's A5, 28 pages, black and white, and photocopied on 100% recycled paper. Once again, they're hand tied, and have hand cut windows in the cartridge paper covers using the same rather blunt craft knife (I really must buy a new one...)

This one has waffling on opportunities, relationships, communication, and a couple of other things. I made thirty copies and would love to…

wow i'm glad it arrived that fast! even as airmail, the national postal services website says it takes up to 5 business days. maybe it was because i sent it from the central post office at Porto city, since i also had other stuff sent to the UK that arrived at the same time as yours ;)
of course i'd like to hear(read) your thoughts on my first zine, feel free to do so. glad you liked the little package ^^ xo

Have answered my own questions upon completion of this issue of Larry! oh, and I really enjoyed it! will send you some snail mail compliments as too much to write here :) So many things I wanted to say out loud as I read through this issue, would have been a great get to know you conversational type piece of work.. you could meet a stranger, hand them a copy and let them read it and address you along the way for a full experience of you inner pieces.. no?! ok, it was late and it made sense to me at the time ;) Will get writing, just wanted to say I enjoyed Larry and thanks again heaps for trading :) Tasha x
