Kira Swales posted a blog postMy zine, Exploding the Myth is mainly a perzine but also occasionally featuring contributions. My zine includes stories of my (mis)adventures, rants, reflections, reviews, illustrations, contributions, "how to"s and a whole bunch of other stuff too, from a left leaning queer/punk/feminist perspective. I also have a mini-zine "A few of my favourite things".
You can buy my zines directly from me by sending me a message on here or an email at kira_swales@yahoo.co.uk. I accept paypal and cash, but email me first please to check availability. Alternatively, my zines are available at marching stars distro , Jeez Louise distro , and ricochet ricochet distro . I do like to trade but I prefer perzines, adventure stories, recipe zines, and zines with queer/punk/feminst content or perspective.

Exploding the Myth #5 is finally finished! Well, I say finished - it's been finished for ages, I just had to get my act together and prep it for printing. But it's allll done now and ready to sell or trade. I haven't made too many copies this time - the idea is, if I have less old issues to rid myself of, it will spur me on to finish more future issues. I already have the contents of issues 6 and 7 sorted in my head, it's just focusing on one project long enough to get it all written down…

Oh aye, great fun, though knackering of course after having to pack away from teh gig the night before, probably got about 6hours sleep, not too bad I guess.
I saw a few people with blue hair, one of whom were used as "something blue" in the scavenger hunt. I haven't got the anthology yet as I have read all of the earlier comics online and bought the issues 2-10 anthology way back when. I did get issue #18 at the weekend though. and the new loserdom, lights go out, bonuscupped, on't road and a whole host of other zines; so a good day!
All the cakes were made by one person and she only had one hour of sleep on the friday night, then made soup for lunch and cooked for the bands dinner on saturday night, I have no idea where the energy came from but it certainly motivated the rest of us!
I'm hoping I'll be living back in England next year so I can get more involved in the organisation side of things. Oh, also whilst I'm busy typing away, I reviewed your zines and they're in issue #30 of zineworld, which just came out.
I was looking out for you but didn't see you...hmmm what day(s) were you there? Maybe you snuck in when I wasn't sitting at the front table!
xxxxx
Wanna trade Exploding the Myth #4 for Here In My Head #5? :)
xxx
They came yesterday and sat and read them all because I got off work early :D. Just #4 left, for some post dinner relaxation. I don't think a a comment posted via a textbox is a very good way to portray my opinions/reaction to them; so I guess I'd better get notepad out!
Sounds great, Iv paypaled you :)
