Karen O E's Page

Hello! My name is Karen.

I hope to write another zine soon, but for now I"m having fun contributing to others' zines and raising my kiddos (one on the outside, one growing in the inside) : )

Here is my little zine history. All my zines are out of print now.

The Pine Box #2 - 2006
jovial enough, but it didn't live up to my expectations, so it's out of print

The Pine Box #1 - 2006
a lot about depression. it was kind of a mistake to make a zine about depression while I was depressed! Oops.

A Tenderness So Painful I Thought My Heart Would Burst - 2005
a zine about growing up and moving on and all sorts of things.

The Old Factory - 2004
About smells and memory. It was a whopper - like 90 pages or something.

Plutocrush # 1 - #4 - 1996-1999?
this and that, mostly handwritten

Judy's Gumm #1 & #2 - 1996 - 1997
The "riot grrrl" phase with matching zine! : )

Life has changed a whole dang lot since I wrote that a in 2005 so it's not in print any more. My husband and I now have a 6 month old baby boy and I'm really curious about how my life as a "zinester" will evolve now that I have a child and am… Continue

Hi Karen,
Whilst cleaning my basement today (spring!) I found Judy's Gumm #2. Yay! I don't know if you remember me, I think we only hung out for a summer in 97, I think. So, a baby and a husband? You're livin' the dream. I'm single with a dog in south minneapolis. All is well. I'd love to hear from you, I hope life is treating you well.
