Adam replied to Emma Stronach's discussion What's the best program to use when making a zine?
"Hey. I'm assuming that MP is Microsloth Publisher? I've been using that since 2.0 and haven't needed to upgrade since Pub'98. That being said, I only use it for layout and basically use the Blank Document | Special Fold | Booklet…"

Eurovision Target 168 at Sticky, or remotely. hands across the world.

April 15, 2009 at 12pm to April 21, 2009 at 12pm
Synchronised zinemaking within set dates including a proof of date and, in this cycle, in this instance, that will be the announcement of the winner of Eurovision 09. Let's talk you through it. It works like this:1) You email us at Sticky by FRI 15 MAY to say you wanna be part of it. Being 'part of it' includes the fact you'll need to do an excess run of 20 or so copies on top of your usual print run. This extra 20 (or so) will be redistributed to the other zinemakers taking part. Thus everyone…See More

A little bit about me...

I'm not long living in Melbourne but I'm glad I'm here. I moved from Sydney at the beginning of 2007 and while I miss friends and family up there I'm sure I made the right move. Melbourne's climate agrees with me and the city is so easy to get around for someone like me, who is a non-driver. I work in a bookshop looking after the stationery section.

I write a few zines. I have one title, called three, which is a poetry zine, and another called top ten which is... a problem child and I'm not sure if it'll go much further than one issue. Pretty ordinary and I'm not proud of how short my efforts have fallen in making follow-up issues.

Hello friend of Sticky. If you have made a zine recently, are still reprinting old copies of a zine, have old copies lying around or are thinking of making zine, we want you to stock it with us! If you haven't stocked with us before, here's how you do it. Visit our website (www.stickyinstitute.com) and download a stockists form. Fill it out and send it with up to ten copies of your zine to Sticky, P.O. Box 310, Flinders Lane, VIC 8009. We have them on the shelves for 6 months at which time, if they've sold out we'll pay you and if they haven't totally sold out we'll pay you for the copies you have sold and send the remaining copies back to you or donate them to the Exchange Box. To those of you have stocked with us previously, keep sending us your zines! Zine culture is alive and kicking in Australia and Sticky is an ardent defender of zine culture!
Love from Sticky!
