I've been to Brainstorm - yes it is rad.  Concept do a review of all your reviews somehow in a video and revisit each zine you already reviewed extremely briefly. This way we can watch a video that has a list of all the zines that have been reviewed. I think of each of these episodes like an individual episode of Reading Rainbow or something. etc...

matt, your meniscus was pretty fun to read. it was a step into your mind, a chance to see the gears turn. i also related to it since i run a business of my own. times are tough! but on some level, you just have to have faith in what you do!

thanx to blake and ben! i'm just trying to call stuff as i see it. it's hard for me to publicly criticize zines, because some people take it in a DIScouraging way, instead of an ENcouraging way. the thing with those cutbanks is that they remind me so much of zines i did 6 or 7 years ago. and i love my old zines, but i like my new ones more. issue 8 of mine i think is good, and i'm proud of 10. issue 9 is weird, but to me is good. but even like issue 6 of mine, which was only a couple years ago, is not nearly so good as 8,9,10. but i'm still happy with #6, because you have to do what you do. each thing takes you to the next. so whatever you do, keep doin it!

Zinesters, listen closely to what Billy has to say in this review. Years of reading and writing experience condensed into a single nugget of goodness. Try to follow Billy's suggestions regarding a converging thought or two throughout a single issue of a zine. Makes reading them much more enjoyable. And as a writer your abilities are likely to increase with each issue simply because you are focusing on *that* goal, etc.

Great review Billy. "BlingReview11" will be a classic!

You're a sweetiepie, Billy! Also, for the record, Meniscus #16 was apparently mismarked at Quimby's. It's supposed to be one dollar, not three! (I forgive them the error, though, since I published more than a dozen issues at three dollars)...
