I hear you are looking for zinesters over 50. Well, I am 69, my name is Joan, I haven't made any zines yet, but plan on doing one soon. I use to publish newsletters back in the 80's and 90's. People on the internet have never seen my newsletters until recently. I posted one of my back issues in one of my Etsy shops, Paper Gallery. The newsletter was called "Hobby News".
I'm thinking about reusing some of the topics from my newsletters. I think it will be interesting. I did my newsletters the old-fashion way back then, paste-up style. I had once worked for a local paper as a paste-up artist. That was where I learned how to do my newsletters. I had no computer until the year 2000. I've yet to learn how to do the newsletters on the computer, and hope to do so soon. I don't know why I haven't tried it sooner.
would you like to trade zines? i am also a crone and a pagan, although my zine is not about that. it is about interviews with all types of artists, performance, collage, clothing design, a famous singer from the eighties...and more. plus some other stuff.
my email is: fiveorsixgirls@gmail.com and my name is deb.
Hey Eunice, you messaged me a while back asking for a trade? Well, I've finally managed to get more copies of my zine printed, so I'm still up for the trade if you are! How about Here In My Head #4 for either Oliphant or Estrones? Which do you recommend?
hi! sorry it's taken me a while to let you know.. but i did receive your zines, thank you! i also just sent them out from the post office today. hope you enjoy them :)
:) Awesome, glad it got there ok
I'm only half way through your zines! Really been enjoying them :) The layouts are so beautiful, look very professional! Thank you very much :D
Hi I've just printed issue 2. Will get one to you as soon as I can and perhaps a letter if I have time (nno promises) things are crazy this end but you're on my list.
I just wanted to say thank you for the zines - I got them today and they certainly helped to brighten up my morning! I have just read Estrones 1 & 2 and I thought they were wonderful. I look forward to reading the others this evening. :)
Hello Eunice, thanks for your note. Why yes, I'd love a trade. Crone especially looks interesting to me. Are there any of mine in particular that you're interested in? Katie xx
That sounds great and your zines look really interesting, but I'm all out of issue 4 for the moment (the London Zine Symposium cleared me out)! I'll get in touch with you when I get more printed, hopefully in the next 2 weeks.
Wow! It sounds like you have a great animal farm at your place. And you're from Wales and don't have any guinea pigs? I just hear that guinea pigs are pretty popular over there. It has been awhile since I've visited this space, but I read your comment and was curious. I'm interested in your lit and will be back to see about getting me some!
you mentioned a mini-zine-swap with my very first sweetie "friendship day" since we are not assigned partners at the current SwapBot-mini-zine-swap ...
If you are still interested and pm me your address, I will send it out tomorrow before leaving for vacation? :-)
hi Eunice, thanks for sending your zines! they arrived this week. sorry I haven't had a chance to read them yet as work's been crazy. I'm waiting for the weekend when I can read them over coffee at the cafe down the road whilst relaxing. they both look great!
