your zines arrives a few days ago. i really really liked them. thanks for the trade and for being so honest about your life. and i think it's awesome that you go by your first and middle name only. thanks for the background story.
Hello! I'd lovelove to trade. :)
I have copies of issues 5-12 so how about a swap for any of your zines that you want to send over? I have the latest split you did with Amber, but apart from that, they all look so wonderful and I don't know why we haven't traded yet!
How was zine dream? I totally planned on coming-and then I went to the fan expo in TO the same day. It was madness-people in manga and sci fi costumes everywhere, people lined up for autographs, geeking out to comics... literally a disaster area. After that I said 'get me the fuck outa toronto!' I just couldn't handle being in crowded areas anymore!
cool. i love trades. your covers and descriptions look super awesome. you are so creative. i think the art is the hardest part for me. i think i want telegram ma'am #14 and 15 and i'll send you cocoa/puss #1 and #2. is that cool? those are the only two i have. let me know and i'll send you my address.
Hi! Yes, I'd love to trade. I know I haven't seen your #17, so how about we trade for that one? Functionally ill #5 is pretty short. Have you seen #4? Maybe I could send that in addition to #5. Let me know and I will get some mail in the mail to you asap.
hey. your zines arrived here safely yesterday. i'll have my trade out to you soon. i'm sorry i keep slacking. i keep sleeping in real late and missing my copy shop/post office hours. i dunno whats wrong with me :(
but i also want to write you a nice letter about your zines. i've always meant to. so soon!
Hi! Thank you so much for sending me Little Acorns, I love it! And I love your letter too. I'm hoping to get my 24 hour zine done next week, after I've done the essay I have to do for my OU course. Diolch yn fawr!
Hi Maranda, Ive been wanting to message you for a while - just to say that I really loved your zine. I cant quote any particular parts at the moment, but i found some great stuff in it. I liked the part about hanging out on the roof, and about how different people can have totally different connotations for the same places. I can also relate to wanting to leave the place you're in, and last but not least, I too sometimes move my mouth and gesture when daydreaming about conversations (real or ficticious). Sooo, thanks again!!! x
Yeah, I might write a letter instead. There's all sorts I suddenly want to show you - lots of little quotes too.
And, about diary writing (I've kept a diary since I was 10 - and that idea of not wanting to let a memory go is so so similar to how I approach it. I write in all sorts of wierd details, that I hope will later prompt me, not just to remember it, but to get the feeling back)
