now i see that you have another group called "Alternative Press Festival 09" - there really shouldnt be two groups for the same thing - its not good for the network or for yourself when you are organizing yo shizz! ok...
you might want to update the "Alternative Press" group to communicate better what it is.. right now it doesnt have much information. You might want to rename the group Alternative Press Fair - and say something in the description that says its from the UK...
Looks like you are doing sterling work down there in London.
I'm considering possibly doing a Midlands Alterative / Small Press event in Birmingham at some point. What sort of numbers do you attract to your events? Is it vialble in another city do you think?
Hi jimi...just heard the thing with you on resonance..good chat..uh, I guess I should leave a link if for peeps who didn't catch it (http://www.panelborders.wordpress.com/)
anyhow - did motivate me to get something down on paper!
Hi Jimi, Good day at the Alt Press Fair, loved it and picked up some great zines, being there has inspired me to get back on with the zine I print that has taken a back seat for a long time (too long) so cheers mate-
thanks for invite to this site too it's a great thing.
Keep me posted and I'll see you at the next fair/event
Cheers

hey hey hey... has to be said the alternative zine fair was awesome! had to make an extra dash for some cash. perhaps i've had my head under a rock or something, but it does appear as though zines/diy/etc;) are coming back into their own in uk land! keep me posted on other events! cheers, nat
thanks jimi that's awesome! im so glad you liked it, it's exactly the reason i started the project in the first place. i have so much love for the things i do and have taken influence from that i love to hear other's stories and hope others can take positive influence from them too! i agree with you that if more people fle thtis way we could really change things, we just all need to make sure we have support to continue as im sure you know, it can be very stressful too argh!
did you have fun at zine fest??
I emailed Steve about the BZF stall as he's the one in charge of that, you're on the layout plan list, so I doubt there will be a problem, but I don't want to organise things without consulting steve, because if everyone started doing that with stalls it'd give him some major headaches.
Thanks for the comment. If you take a look at our myspace page http://www.myspace.com/footprintworkerscoop if you are lucky you will see a short film which basically chronicles how we set up (it is nearly 5 years old and was made as a report to a network of co-ops so it is a bit dry but it gives an idea)
I've noticed the event in February and have made a note to bring it up with the others next week when everyone is back from xmas. I don't think I can make it but it would be good if we can get someone down for it.
Hey there, thanks for the add! I gotta say though, the cover image isn't drawn by me, it's by a rad artist called Nina Nijsten! The zine is mostly text based and i cannot draw to save my life haha!! The event below looks rad!! x
