We also lived in Vale de lobo, Praia da luz, and we lived/worked at a hotel called the A kalina in Albufeira. I should maybe scan in some photos or use them in a zine.

I remember in England I couldn't really run off and explore anymore - I just somehow knew that. There's definately a feeling here that you have to be a bit more defensive.

I'd been used to selling strawberries on the market stalls, and finding old wells and derelict farms, and being taken in by families.

We used to travel alot then overland between Portugal and the Uk or to Germany. Definately a time of change. I'd love to revisit Portugal, I've never been back since being a kid.
