(this is the response to your message-the long haul computer is so old it won't let me respond to your message but i can leave one on your page...sheesh)

Yeah suh,

although it's an olde issue...you still have the same contact info/address?

I took these photos (the one you responded to and the ones im about to upload) when i was reorganizing the box of my (recent) favorite zines....and i saw in the box the Smasha zine you  sent me. I hope things are going well with you.

I could get lost for a couple of hours looking over the zines.the vast array of creativity on paper is made all the more substantial when i have a personal association with the work. I usually keep people's letters with the zine they send....it's a real gift to be doing this for so long. Many people have sent me their work and it's great.

The issue with the art you like is from 10 years ago. last winter i did issue 49 of zippo which is chalk full of fliers and before that issue 48 which has 3 interviews--i would love for you to see those issues as well(i forgot what i already sent you). I have other back issues handy and i could easily make an issue that's new and up to date-i just don't know which direction to go or what people would actually want to read.

i tend to do more slingshot than zippo this year ...and i endeavor to read more than write. i have so many books and zines to read--- the first time or read again.

okay be well

Great! I'm glad that you've received it. Sourpatch is one of my favorite bands. They are so so so good. Yes, I would love a copy whenever you finish this edition. Let me know if I can help/contribute in the future.

'Allo! I received your SMASHA package. IT'S THE BEST. Thanks for the bonus mini-zine-greeting, that was the coolest/sweetest thing. I have some contributions for SMASHA ready to send you (and a reply letter besides) all packed in an envelope with a genuine US air mail stamp smacked on the cover. What's the mailing address I should sent it to? -simon

Thanks for adding me to your "friends" list. I've read through most of your zine and I really appreciate that you made the effort to send it to me. I like the variety of voices and styles.

I hope your summer is rocking.

I have some designs of another zippo but there's lots of distractions---soon maybe I'll have something to share with you. I recently looked over my boxes of old letters-20 years worth. It was mind blowing. I think I want to do an issue on letter writing & zines-shit that people tied to their computer can't be bothered with...
