Thanks 4 accepting my friend request & commenting on my picture. :)
I got a whole bunch of yr zines from Marching Stars a few weeks ago & thought they were great. Got me thinking about lots of things. I loved the idea of having a Riot Grrrl corner too. I hadn't listened to the Lunachicks for years - I got one of their CDs out after you mentioned them and it was covered in dust. T-Hee! :)
hi, your zine is AGAIN on the way- I got it back to me because of insufficient postage. which is strange, because the post office put the postage on it. apparently the kid working there didn't realize Israel isn't in Canada... wow. anyway. I hope you get it soon! And I thoroughly enjoyed yours. so sorry mine is so late.
just wanted to let you know that I got your zine today, though I haven't done much but flipped through it yet. but it's incredible looking- so shiny and professional! I'm behind on my trades, but I'll be getting a few things out to you asap. thank you so much!
I think it likely would be fairer since my first is only 12 pages, and my second is even only 16. (though I have crammed a lot into that one.) but if you're okay with just one... it'll depend on the postage, really. I don't know how it is there, but it's crazy expensive here, and if I have to put more than one stamp, I might not have the cash right now. (poor student and all.) anyway, I'll look into it.
i loved your zine. thank you for making it free to download. i'm the venus zine reader of the week and i plugged your zine in my interview because i love it so much. you can see that here: http://www.venuszine.com/you
if you're cool with it, i'd like to know about where you live (more to the west or east of the country?). have you ever left the country (if so, where to)? what's daily life like for you?
optimistically hoping i did not offend you. i'm going into the human service field and was recently employed at jewish vocational services. can't help but ask. c.g.
Hi! We stock people's zines and sell them for them. If you would like to stock with us that would be awesome. To do so, you download the stockists form from out website and fill in all the contact and pricing information (taking into account exchange rates since we will sell them in Australian dollars) and send up to ten copies of your zine to us along with the form to our postal address P.O. Box 310 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, VIC 8009 Australia. We will put them on the shelves for 6 months and at that time, if there are any left we will either send them back to you or they are donated to the exchange box, it's really up to you. We take a 20% commision from the sales to help run our store but all the rest go to you. Also if you stock with us you receive our Sporadic Monthly Correspondance (basically an online newsletter).
It would be great to stock your zine, it looks really interesting and unlike anything we currently have in the store so you should definitely send some in.
Looking forward to it, From Melissa and Sticky
my zine touches on my recent (to me cuz' i'm still dealing with it) brain injury. i went through 3 brain surgeries and part of my cerebellum was removed. i've gone through tons of emotions, recoveries, rehab, traditional, and alternative medicines. so, i'm "disabled"now. i have memory loss, can't read novels or regular books now. zines are a way for me to keep in touch, in a heartfelt manner.
i'm open to all of it, questions are welcome. i'm in the editing process. post-injury, this is gonna take some time. i'm wanting to purge, let go of a portion of feelings, and to share my perception. c.g.
