Outsider Industries currently has two Zines in circulation. RUIN is an abstract horror Zine featuring several storylines intertwined between broken text and non narrative random designs, at certain times I completely forgot what I was doing and gave up entirely then returned to spoil everything with even more oddities. The next is Outsider Industries which features artists, musicians, interviews, ads for underground and DIY artists and outlets, and many other random things. In 2016 we plan on regularly releasing two more Zines on a monthly basis, One featuring fiction contributions and the other a collaborative effort for a DIY movie effort! -KHVLT
I LOOOOVED your zine! I made you up an envelope and posted it (wisebloods, weird new jersey etc) and then when I got home last night I kicked back and read arcane angle. (to and e.t.a. Hoffman symphony!) it is such a great zine. probably the best zine out there as far as its subject matter is. funny though. I wrote a letter to you before I read your zine (wrote it in the car driving a chick around . . . i'll tell you about her in my letter . . . weirdo!) . . . and I was asking you if you read Huysmanns . . . and then that evening i'm reading about him in your zine. I thought that was awesome! have you looked at the art of felician ropps? huysmann's introduced me to it and I think you'll dig it.
I wrote you out some pages on music . . . stuff I really dig. I won't write any more here because I sent a letter. but I sure enjoy acane angle . . . it really made my night. you got me on a roll. I stayed up way too late re-reading arcane angle, then studied on it some, and then started to re-read Strindberg's "from an occult diary b/w inferno."
there just ain't no zine out there like yours. and thanks for the wonderful review.
If it hasn't arrived by tomorrow, Monday, I'll start gathering together what I sent before and have it in the mail by Tuesday. Yes, I did do the letter on a computer, so I can send you another. Junk Zine #9 won't be out for a while yet, but your letter and my reply will be in that.
Hey Paul, got you a package made up & will send it on out next trip to the Post Office..which will be Wednesday. Thankx for the trade, I assure you it will be worth the wait! Hail Satan & all that jazz...
thanks for getting in touch.I do have occult-related zines. "the sun shines underground" is a personal zine ive been doing since the age of 16 which recently featured an issue about a trip to peru in which i took ayahuasca 7 times. My current major project is Up the Witch Punx which is about the crossover between those two cultures, but judging from your works I probably dont need to explain much more coz you prolly already know what im talking about. i would love to do a trade. im doing some photocopying on monday. i can send you issue 2 part 1.
and oh! oh! what address do i send my wiseblood too? i also always ask if you need a donation. i don't work . . . . i don't do shit . . . .but i still end up with money here and there and i send it on to people who put out zines . . .
ah hell . . . it would be a pleasure to trade with you. My zine is about . . . . a little of everything . . . drinking, fighting, fucking . . . . goin' to jail and a cat named Pip . . . she's 17 years old . . . she lived with me on a bench for four goddamned years.
I've written a lot of wisebloods and it'll take me some time to dig them out, but i think i got some stories you'd really dig. One is about a baby hippo i met and who saved my life and the other is about shit dissapearing and then coming back . . .
so o.k. . . . do i have your addresss? I'll post the first chance i get . . .
Sure we'd be down for a trade...sounds great! Why don't you message me your mailing addy & I'll do the same. In the meantime, if ya wanna have a look at our zines you can find them all here at our Etsy shoppe! We've got lots of witchy titles to check out. Thank you for writing, looking forward to checking out another zine of the "Paranormal & Occult" variety...
Paul, yes I did, and your long thoughtful letter too. Many thanks for both. I've read about half of AA and of course look forward to finishing it. Your on my top 10 list for letter replies. I plan to print your letter in the next Junk Zine and will have my reply for you in that issue, but may have a reply for you earlier. I've got AA listed in the next JND Ads & Contacts.
I think, I HOPE, I've finished my last big job of the season, and just have a few little jobs I have to do. So my work obligations are petering out quickly. Soon I'll have lots of time to catch up on my zining and correspondence.
