heyy i got your zine today! i liked the randomness of it all. kinda reminded me of my zine. i enjoyed the piece of walmart and the comics, my boyfriend was scoping it and he was cracking up reading it. thanks for the trade!
what a lovely story! I'd love to see a real penny farthing. and thank you for your comments! I just got yours on Friday and I'm still working my way through it, but I absolutely LOVE how it looks. the cover is wonderful. thanks so much for trading!
I'm giving everyone the option of making their full pages themselves, backgrounds, text, photos, etc. rather than just submitting a couple of paragraphs they wrote. I think it will help underscore the diversity and unique approaches. Everyone's different, approaches tasks differently, etc.
So it's up to you whether you want to make up your pages and snail mail them or scan them at high-res and e-mail them to me. Either is fine but I'll wind up printing off the scans anyway because I do everything with scissors and glue.
One of the other contributors suggested the following topics to me:
- I Didn't Do Drugs
- I Didn't Have Sex
- I Didn't Have Parents
- I Didn't Believe in God
- I Didn't Eat Meat
- I Didn't Make Friends
- I Didn't Do Well
I had been aiming for I Didn't Like... titles but most of those would definitely work. It would just take a little rewording. If none of those strike you, I'm taking submissions until January 15th.
heyy that is awesome! i've never been to a zine fest either but there are a few artsy places around here..stardust coffee, austin coffee maybe we could do it at one of them..i know a couple people who might be able to play..my brother plays guitar so him definitely...when are you thinking about doing all this? oh and i would love to trade. im almost finished with issue 9 of pulse so is then ok?
