Hey Billy! It was great to see you at CZF. I loved your latest issue. It seems you and I are going through a lot of the same things right now (i.e., missing Chicago, trying to make it work in a new place). In fact, your issue inspired me to start working on a new piece today. I just published a new issue and I'm already working on another. You know how huge that is for me. Thanks!
Hi! I don't know who did the stencil. I picked it up somewhere... years ago. Now I can't remember. I glued it to a piece of green houndstooth paper- and there you go!
hey just saw your post - i guess i don't have much of a wmz presence, ha, but better late than never! we're not in there fridays alas - open hours are saturdays & sundays 1-5 and tuesdays from 6 to 9!
Keep an eye out for the next issue of Xerography Debt! I wrote a gushing review of Proof I Exist. Like, so gushing that it will probably embarrass the both of us.
Thanks for wanting to be my electro-friend! Last week I recommended an older Proof I Exist to an instructor putting together a high school course on zines. I called it "top notch perzine material"!
I don't do trades for my zine stock, mostly because I only buy a few copies at a time. However, I am laying out my latest issue of Driving Blind, and I can send you that when it's done. And you can review it! Thanks for getting in touch - can't wait to see your zines.
Hi Billy!
Thanks for sending me your zine, I really enjoyed it a lot! I told my friend who lives in Chicago to keep an eye peeled for you if you're at the zine fest! I also love your zine reviews, they are pretty entertaining. If I ever get around to printing my zine a copy will be sent your way for sure!
Do you ever listen to "Coast to Coast", the radio show that used to be hosted by Art Bell? If not, you really should. It's usually about supernatural and paranormal stuff, but the weekend host is going to talk about Columbine tomorrow. At least I think that's the plan. The website lists tomorrows show as being about Bigfoot, specifically his relationship with Native American cultures. But I figure that will be a pretty good show, too.
Yeah, I'm in Kansas City now, but not for long. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, but KC really isn't so cool, unless I've managed to miss all the good parts the past three years. I'm actually thinking about moving up to Chicago. It's either there or San Francisco. Maybe we'll be neighbors.
