I saw you have a zine about your cats! I just wrote a 40 page booklet titled "Life With Joshua". My furry cat best friend would have been 19 this May. He died on March 18th this year and the booklet is all about my life with him. The day that he died I began writing about every memory great and small of him, his health problems, and of course, about his last day. I included lots of photos of he and I together as well as a map of my apartment so the reader could get a better idea of where he lived and understand when I describe locations. -Chris
Hi Jen! Would you be up to trading a couple issues of your zine for a couple of mine? My perzines often have threads of mental health strung through them, and the first issue of A Visitor in Myself is about BPD.
i think i would very much like to read your 'zine. I think you may find my 'zine of interest. I'll trade if you'd like.
my 'zine is called wiseblood and i have a number of issues i will send you concerning my stays in psychiatric wards and crazy stories of my life as an addict. My only warning is that it is rather bitter and sassy.
Oh, plus, almost every cover is cat-related. i'm obsessed with cats.
if you'd like to trade my address is 1304 175th Pl. NE, Bellevue, WA, 98008

Jen thanks again so much. We've organized the zines and they are safe on several shelves. People are already enjoying them and even getting some contact info down to try and contact some of the writers. You are amazing!!!
Cool! Don is usually in at 11 to open the store. I'll give him a call on my lunchbreak today to let him know. If you want to drop by today since it's a weekend, you can just let him know that Rhea told you to bring them by and he will be totally fine with that. I'm so excited Jen, and I'd love to see your work too! I might have to grab some stuff from the etsy store too. I'm crafty too, always down to make share and trade :-) Rhea
Hi there! Just wanted you to know that I never got the zine(s) that you were going to send in trade. I wonder if they got lost in the mail or if sending them just slipped your mind. If you have time to send them, I am still really excited to read them.
That's awesome! We live in West Adams so we're not too far. We could meet up, or if our schedules are different, you can always drop off the bags at Don's Music in Eagle Rock - he is a really good friend of ours and would be more than happy to hold onto them until we pick them up. I'm so excited! Your collection will be shared and cared for :-) Rhea and Champ
would you be down for a trade?
i just put out a zine about supporting people with mental health and dealing with abuse, and another before that about permaculture and community and stuff like that.
send me an address if yer down
Hi, Jen! Pleased to meet you. I would love to trade. I have a perzine-with-poems available, Erik and Laura-Marie Magazine #44. It's text heavy and include reviews. And I've got a mental health zine called functionally ill. I could send you issue #3 of that, or any issue you'd like, really--they're all about my process of coming to terms with my mental health challenges / dangerous gifts. I have a new very light mini-zine called Some Quotes I Like that I can thrown in as a bonus. So let me know if either Erik and LM Magazine or functionally ill sound like your cup of tea.
