Hi Krissy, thank you for the kind comment on my photo! My zine is available online at Made It and (from later today) at Format in Adelaide. Later at Sticky in Melbourne, which is also online. I'm not sure whether to go for an o/s distro or not...would welcome your thoughts!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I have a good birthday, but I have to admit today was kind of better. I listened to cd I haven't listened to in years and read a couple newspapers while the snow piled up outside. Then I took a nice walk on the quieter streets of my neighborhood.
Hi Krissy, many thanks for your kind comment about 'this is water'. Yes you must read DFW!! The short stories are a great introduction to his utterly unique fiction, and for non fiction I would recommend his book of essays "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again". in particular the piece about cruises which me me laugh so much it nearly gave me convulsions. Hope you enjoy! x
Krissy, I've just found out that there's an alternative to ning. It's spruz.com. They have a ning migration tool as well. It's free like ning used to be. I wasn't sure if you'd heard of them, so thought I'd let you know. Another ning group I'm in has moved there.
Hey Krissy- I don't really care if there's a name list or badges, etc, but I think it might help convince other people to donate. I gave what I could, which unfortunately isn't much right now... but hopefully if everyone just gives a little bit, we'll do okay :) I'll keep my fingers crossed.
hey, I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful website <3 I've gone from having no one wanting to read my zine except my mother (who is not allowed, haha) to having nine people requesting trades in less than 48 hours. it's incredible, and I'm very grateful.
