Hey, nice to hear back from you. You're sounding very Irish today! Makes me want to ask you: What's the sca?? And speaking of that, how is your new home treating you? All's well here, the usual mix of working and zine-making, plus some downtime with the cat. Today she and I are knitting a few dishcloths and drinking tea. Exciting stuff, I know.
Hmm, well I was wandering around for some time on the sunday...if you were looking for someone with short pink hair it's long and blue now :] I didn't have any cake I'm afraid, I really wanted some, but I was soo full of veggie breakfast from Bubble Kitschen! Coffee was good though..I bought so many zines I haven't had chance to get through them yet. I got the morgenmuffel anthology which I've wanted for a while, so I was pretty pleased with myself! Hope you had a good day :)
Yeah I did thanks, had a fun time! :) Bought lotsss of zines, of course. And it was good to visit my best friend who recently moved there....Brighton's awesome!
Happy Easter! I'm not doing anything special really, just going over to my mom's for dinner. I think I'll hang out there all day though, since there's nothing else to do and it's nice to just sit and read. Are you at home with your family? I promised to make a little centerpiece of some kind to put on the table since I'm not much of a cook but all I ended up doing was buying some daffodils growing in a pot. :) Pretty, though. I'm happy it's spring.
Oh my gosh, biking on the ice sounds treacherous! Poor arm, I hope it's feeling better now. We've had a lot of early spring rain lately but today it was sunny and almost warm. People were wearing skirts and flip-flops and everything. A bit too EAGER for the summer, some of them. They'll be singing a different tune in July when it's a million degrees and a million percent humidity.
Well you're one up on me! I still haven't learned how to drive! Good for you. I'm intimidated by the idea of driving, I'm not gonna lie. It would be really nice to have the freedom of a car, though. How'd it go?
Hey Steve! I'm doing well. Rainy old spring day here and I'm trying to stay alert enough to get some work done. It was nice to get your lovely letter recently. How are you doing?
Glad you liked it! But too short?! It seems massive to me! (I have very vague plans to expand it one day to include all the shows I've ever been to (there are 11.5 more!).
I'm not able to go to BZS this year! :'(
I had a table and everything but couldn't work out how to get back at any sensible cost. I've tried every combination of travel I can think of and it always works out at £40-50, which is sadly too much atm.
Message me your address though and I'll pop a copy of my zine in the post to you though!
xx
New year, new home - very exciting. I visited Derry once. Man, that is a neat city. Such fun, down-to-earth people. I had a blast. I wonder what the rest of the country is like? ...
Hey Steve! Thanks for your note. I will look forward to getting a letter from you, and I'm happy to give you any ol' zines you want. Are you in the process of moving? We got snowed in over the weekend - got a couple of feet, a big storm for us here in Philly, and my Christmas shopping was put on hold. I think my bus should be running today though. Wish me luck out there! And merry Christmas to you! Talk soon, Katie xx
hello - if you give me your address I will post one out for trade for one of your zines.
I'd love to release a CD with the but I don't think I could afford all the royalty payments I'd have to make! Most of the music I mention is available to hear on YouTube or Lastfm though ...
Oh fabulous, an upcoming zine fair and a steady job. Life could be worse! Congratulations on finishing school, too. I'm doing okay, thank you. I've been doing my usual nerdy zine things, and I'll be going down to the zine fest in Richmond, Virginia in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that. Other than that there's nothing much doing. I could actually use a job myself. Guess I should try looking for one. I have some newish zines about the very exciting things I do, such as go to yard sales. If you're interested I'll be happy to send them to you. Just remind me of your address. xxoo

Hey, I sent your zines yesterday so they should be with you soon :) Thanks!
