I'm coming down to Austin from Chicago July 26-28 and I'm working on setting up a reading while I'm there. Would you be interested in reading with me? This might be weird because we don't know each other, but I don't know anybody in Austin to ask and your zines sound interesting.
We invite you to take part in the First International Exhibition "ZINESHOW" in Ukraine. Participation is free. Any technique. Any theme and format. No return. Deadline: 15/04/2013. Exhibition on the blog http://zineshow.blogspot.com All works will be exhibited also in the gallery "tymutopiyapres" http://tymutopiyapres.blogspot.com is not a commercial gallery. Welcomed but not "necessarily" summary of your zine or about you or your creative work (this is necessary for further elucidation of the project and possible documentation). Zines for the exhibition please send air mail: "Zineshow" A/C 9875, Sadivnycha 19/1, 79038, Lviv, Ukraine.
Do you happen to have an electronic version of the submission you sent me for the next On Edge? I don't have much scanner-access so it would be much better for me to have it electronically if possible. If not, I'll do my best with it.
i'd love to trade and january would be best for me too as i'm too broke right now to make copies. i actually got "against the flood" #2 from learning to leave a paper trail awhile back and loved it very much! been meaning to write then found you on here just by browsing friends of friends.
i just wanted to write you and tell you thank you so much for the wonderful letter. i was so scared to put my eating disorder stuff out there and your letter made me feel like it was worth it. thanks for taking the time to write me that letter, it meant a lot to me. thank you also for a wonderful trade, i loved the diy guide to preventing depression, the interview and the book lists!! i love finding out about awesome books people recommend. so in short, thanks for everything!! let me know if your friend needs a copy of the zine i'd be happy to send one for free. happy holidays :)
I believe I emailed her publicist first and she set up the time and put me in touch with her for the interview. That's what I've done with others as well. Sometimes there are glitches getting from the publicist to the person you want to interview but usually it works out pretty well. Thanks for the question. I'm hoping to have a new issue of On Edge out in the next couple of months but feeling a bit blocked. :S Good luck with everything!
hey hannah! most of my zines are perzines, but i do have one issue of a mental health zine called "swinging blue" and some photography zines as well. i'm out of copies of swinging blue, but i have plenty of others and i'd love to trade with you!
