hola holy dove folks... apologies for delay in responding to friend request - i've been living it up in chile for the last couple of months and have not been accessing this site. needless to say i've completed one zine whilst here, and working on another two... let me know your address, i'll put you on my route (sorry, just watched ´pretty in pink´ - fabulous film!) cheers, nat
also if you scroll down here: http://www.footprinters.co.uk/content/view/14/29/ in this section about zines, it gives you a rough estimate about how much it'll cost.
about 72p for a copy of a 40 page zine so should be cheapr if it's about 22pages, i reckon.
hey i see you were lookin how to print on the cheap.if you've got a cover charge on ur zine it will fund itself.weve printed 100 copies of issue 3 and the money raised from that will print the next 100-200 and so on.alternatively when our zine was free we put on gigs and charged a cover at the door.it worked out at 1euro per zine.its a great way to raise money for printing.good luck.
Excellent, lets trade! As for getting my zines printed up,I have several cheap copy shops in my area that I can use, with copies being 4.5 - 5 cents each (per side doing double sided) , which makes a 40 page zine/comic about $1 each to print. I am glad you like the Banzai Robot Wars stuff ! I did alot of it and didn't have much interest, but I would love to send you a copy. I think you might dig Threat N Ink too! If you would like to contribute as well that would be awesome. Send me your address and we will trade!
Do you know what? I just looked the word up in the dictionary and it wasn't what I meant at all! I meant busy, exciting, loud... I'm quite fed up to find out "bombast" doesn't mean what I thought it did after all. Hmph.
