The language of mental health is something I think about a lot. The way I see it is if someone had cancer or had a cold, you would never say they ARE cancer or ARE a cold, so I don't understand why it's so easy to say something like that when it comes to mental health. It is just so hugely misunderstood, and the simplest things, like language, go unnoticed. And of course, if you say someone IS bipolar, then people just look at them like that is all they are, nothing else. Which is just so very far from the truth, and sad that anyone would think like that, but they do.
