I'd love to trade! I'm writing a perzine at the moment about my personal struggle with a severe eating disorder amongst other things. that one's going to be about 40 pages, but it's still under construction. I also have a regular zine called Suburban-Nightmare which is kindof a mismash of all kinds of stuff. Coincidentally, i just released my first ever issue of that one, so i'm still a novice to this.
Let me know which one you're interested in. The perzine won't be sent out until the end of August, but i can send Suburban Nightmare issue 1 in about a week (i'm on vacation.) lemme know.
I wrote you a letter a couple days ago. Then, sure enough, before I could print it, everything froze and the thing was erased. I need to try it on paper next time, but my handwriting is deplorable. Anyway, part of the gist was Wiseblood is outrageous and I loved the mental health issue. There was this guy who was bored at this thing I was at, so I gave him that issue. He was cackling over there in no time. I, on the other hand, was stuck with an industry type who was saying things like, "Now, if I had stayed in Chicago, I would have been a really big fish in a little pond. But, I wanted an actual shot at fame, so I came to LA." Next time I will bring two issues of Wiseblood.
Hey! friends for sure, thank you so much for the zines and donation! i recieved it couple of days ago! i'm sending you my zine soon! was reading the hole night.. really moved by the stories, sorry for my english, but yea .. is there a way i can subscribe ? i was staying in seattle for a couple of months last year, beautiful city, too bad i knew no one there. peace!
You are too freaking kind. Shards aims to be post-tomcattin' relaxation material--glad it showed up at the right time. I'm reviewing a bunch of donations and haven't had a chance to check out the Wiseblood donations yet, but they're sitting there as a treat after I do most of the admin work. It's Friday night and I'm not tomcattin' (great word--thanks for that), but I am zining (or trying to). Happy weekend.
Haha, I'm so glad you enjoyed them! It tickles me for sure. Thank you for reading and commenting--you are very cool to do so. Can't wait to read more of yours! You're here to comment, so I'm glad that homeopathic cure didn't work--I guess that means there was nothing to cure in the first place. :) Hope those jackalope shoe pebbles didn't hurt too much.
Doing fine. Been connecting to people who would wish to donate to our infoshop. :)
How bout you? What youve been up to lately? Btw, I sent back the check youve sent me before because banks here wont accept it, said there are erasures. Errrr. Have you received it? Also, the zines, Ill send em out to you probably next week when I sent some zines to some people too.. Sorry it takes way too long for that.
I haven't forgotten about you. I have been putting together an extended version of the zine from my diary (about the demon) and now it's roughly 40-50 pages long when it used to be only 6 pages. So here's more for you to read. I'll be sending it soon.
I'm sending a short version (6 pages), extended testimonies PART 1 and PART 2 and a Doodle Book.
For times sake, you can send a zine and a donation (if you really really want to, ;P) to
Hey Fishspit--Thanks again for being a supporter of my zine and sharing it with the hippies at the coffee house! You mentioned sending a donation, but I have a differnt kind of donation in mind: Do you want to participate in my volunteer project, Zines for Troops? I'm collecting zines and sending them to military members and injured veterans. I have a feeling military guys would absolutely love Wiseblood and your storytelling style. If you want to donate (one to however many issues, or even some of your zine collection you don't want anymore), you'll be placed on the Honor Roll. To sweeten the deal, I'll send you two custom 1" buttons. I know a lot of zine people aren't really military types, but I'm just trying to help people in a stressful situation relax.
