I am so glad that you guys enjoyed this issue (: It is so neat to see how the first page impacted your guys reading experience, I really like how Jessie took it, sometimes we just need to be quiet and listen. I was worried about all the writing with the Glenn Greenwald interview, but knowing you guys enjoyed it makes me know that information is important and I'm glad you guys took the time to read it. It means a lot. I'll have to send you a few extra copies sometime to leave in random coffee shops and restrooms around your town, would you be down for that? Also I feel your pessimism it is only coming from reality, I just gotta hold out for hope and feed the little goodness that is still left. (: Hope your day is going well man!
sorry what did you say? haha. Well I transliterated from Italian I guess,it's an expression that haven't got anythin to do w permission!! Yeah the worst thing for me was when it copied a page x20 wrong. What you said about getting tipsy reminded me of my plans to smoke weed before going to class in HS,to be able to stand the madness there. I subsequently asked my mom but she said that smoking may amplify bad situations ''bad trips'' so probably it wasn't a good idea. Well. I was wondering how do you staple yr zines? I tried everything---lots of holes in the library tables have been made oops
hmm I see..well the other night I saw a guy in a dress at a show! gawd yr like my friend oscar— I can’t understand you guys—like why should I have less rights or something, for god s sake? haha I avoid asking to oscar cuz I HATE debates, they make me sick
geesh my letter took so long to arrive in cold WA; this two weeks seemed trafficked for mail to the US.
well..my next letter will probably include…MY NEW ZINE ISSUE ONE! I’m very very excited. printing em and getting used to the xerox thingie can be energy consuming but it’s also cool. for some reason it would have a special aversion for my cover so just that page I had to bring it to the copy shop. oh well; I also found a free staple. well in my letter I wasn’t talking about the girl in the zine but of the letter you sent me! sorry my english/handwriting is sketchy; I handwritten some pages of my zine and already got feedback about how it’s hard to read and blablablablabla…
I’m writing a novel over here; well let me go cuz I have class, the first Law class of the Minor this year! (to advocate anarchism better) ! ciaociao x
Hi there. The last few weeks have been crazy and I can't remember if I ever responded to your message regarding where to send zines for the library. If I already responded, please ignore this. All zines shoud be sent to the following address:
what? WHAT? That is really happening?! I don't even know what to say. Thank you for putting on a reading of my stuff! I'm really excited! I wish I hadn't found out about it just now or I'd send something! I will send vibes of hilarity and joy. Have fun! Please let me know how it goes.
(: It will be such appropriate reading for saying Fuck You Superbowl. I've only started into Wiseblood #60 and it's already a beautiful time. I really enjoy the story about the special Jesus Like Love we get from our moms. That's how we should all love each other and the world would throb with healing and joy. That's part of my goal with my zines and I hope that comes through. That you are loved and important. I'm rambling on here meow...Have a great fuck the superbowl sunday with your gal (:(:(:
Hey Fish! Fuck, I just got around to acquiring a walkman that plays cassettes and shit am I hook to your cassette tapes. They're so amazing keep sending stuff away! Let me know if you'd like anything Asian like I don't know cigars or tea perhaps? Haha
I am FREAKING OUT about Wiseblood #60! I was cracking up in a restaurant, reading parts out loud to Matt. I don't even know what to say. I will figure out what to say. It's a freaking masterpiece of storytelling, that's what I will say. Thanks for the Shards shout-out! I very much related to the broken gas gauge problem, which leaves little room for error. I finally got mine fixed, and when the alternator died on my way to a gig, the needle flipped past its peg and got stuck there, insult to injury. I'm glad you escaped consequence for a natural error, due to the quick pace developed escaping overzealous cops at punk shows. Please decide to be famous soon.
yes i have a tape deck and listen to tapes regularly.
if you have any dinosaur jr., pavement, black flag, beat happening, sex pistols, joy division, [early] REM, elliott smith, early to mid-nineties hardcore, etc., make me a tape!
i record music with my friends and we are sort of a collective. kind of wimpy music, but with a DIY spirit and defiant ethic. we call ourselves bouldertown. you can check out all our things at bouldertown.org. i am the normal knees, with sometimes friends joining in. check it out if you like.
also i have a penpal friend who runs a punk zine in england called SMASHA zine. i recently did a cover and show-review-thing for the latest issue. i'll send a copy of that in the mail soon.
also if you have any rad badges/buttons of great bands or zines or whatever, send me some if you have extra.
Hey man thanks for the kind words! I can't wait for the new Wiseblood. I'm a true fan now for sure, never thought I would like a perzine persay so much. I pick up a lot of different software programs from friends and I picked you up one the other day for transferring albums and tapes to your computer, Check it out at the link I am leaving you and if you want to try it I'll mail it to you in an email. Here's the link to the site: http://www.sound-recorder.biz/index.html
I started a zine review blog where I will review online blogs, zines, distros, etc... I want you to stop by and check it out when you can. I am going to review Wiseblood there soon. Here's the link: http://thezineiac.wordpress.com
(:(:(:(: Thank you so much for that heart warming compliment. I can't wait to finish the zine I am working on meow for you guys to read together and enjoy again I think it is kick ass you will really enjoy it !! Can't wait to trade zines again!
HA I learned a new word ''toasty''; love it. I figure it means warm and you can picture a toast :3 well Genova has very distinct temperatures summer/winter. I think here (holland) it's pretty close to WA. Or at least in my idealistic-dreamy perception of US geography. I'm risking to skip an Italian summer to go freezing in CA again next summer---or maybe I'm going to Cambodia,I don't know yet----ahhh I'm spacing out (like that Shards cover). my zine gets printed next week---then I can write you--- ciao ciao!!!
