Nice to see another zinester of color on here who is also into punk. Minor Threat is awesome and I also have a soft spot for nineties emo and hardcore. ^_^
Nice fro, by the way. Have a nice day, whenever you get this.
oh well just the musucians i like and enjoy. i dont think a zine would do many people interested in the bands they've interviewed... if a couple go and check out some band because i interviewed them then that is awesome. but realistically, a blog or website would be more effective at that.
i spend ALOT of time searching the internet for music i wanna hear y'know, i don't pay much attention to my 'local music scene'. if i did then my zine would definately be easier to sell.
well that sounds cool... (have you seen the Touch & Go complete fanzines book? its pretty cool stuff).... sadly i can't think of any punk/hc zines that have multiple contributors. but i do own a HEAP of them.
oh and - i think its hard to say whether to do a zine straight away and develop it or to to wait till yr ready... altho i can say that i started my own zine with absolutely no thought: i thought up a title, got some content together, etc. and it turned out really weird and i kinda regret it... so i can say that if you do it like i did: by the time you've gotten 'good', you'll be feeling pretttty embarrased about yr early issues
& my own zine.... is going good =D
and if you ever wish to trade then say sso.... maybe once you've done a zine!
www.postmortemremains.com ....Interviews with Pariah Beat (VT), Burlap to Cashmere, The Last Stand (NY), Thank You Scientist (NJ), and Caring Babies (NH) ..... take a read if you get the chance ...

i meant to say in the 2nd sentence:
*i dont think a zine would be very effective at getting LOTS of people to check out a band.
