Hello Dr. Swank, we met a couple years ago at the Portland Zine Symposium. I was hoping I could acquire more copies of your Menckeniana zine? Please get back to me as soon as possible, at earthlightbooks@gmail.com
Hi, my name is Christopher, and I work for Multnomah County Library. Trying to get in touch with you, sent an e-mail on 7/20. Please contact me at chriscu (you know what) multcolib (the other thing) org, or call me at 503-988-5394, ext. zero. Thanks!
Picked up Cranky Buddha and Tales from the Bus at the Portland Zine Symposium...was also tabling there for The F-Bomb. LOVED your stuff. Actually kept me interested! If you wanna trade anything, let me know. I'm always down for that. :)
Hey Danny,
I finally stopped slacking off and dropped off a fat package of zines and comics for you in the mail today. It usually takes about a week for things to get to America from Japan. Hope you enjoy mine half as much as I enjoyed yours.
hi, saw your post about Tales From The Bus, it sounds great. I have a zine A New Anchor #1 which features a bus story, some travel recollections as well as an interview and art stuffs. wanna trade?
wow im really glad you liked my zine. It was just a mash of stuff pulled from my journals that i turned into a zine, ha.I read both of your zines too and liked your point of view on religion, or at least christianity. I must also add that the sloth stationary that you wrote a thankyou note on was AWESOME. I want some..
Jesus, I like Cranky Buddha so damn much. To clear up any misconceptions, I wasnt addressing that sentence to Jesus, maybe my punctuation is shitty. I only read one issue so far but Jesus its good. That one was addressed to Jesus this time.
I am just finishing the layout on the most recent issue of my comic SunDogs and as soon as it is finished I will post over a package to you.
But I should warn you that cracks like the one that amused you are few and far between. My personality and life-perspective are generally and unapologetically serious. I go through long quite humorless periods and only toss out a quip now and then. It seems like most people don't get them or even notice them!
But there are wisecracks & humorous stories by me and others in most of my zines.
As you're a humor zinester I just thought I'd let you know my "dull side" for full disclosure. I'll have my zine, Xeens & Things 21, in the mail for you in the next few days.
Thanks again!
James
