Lee, I love your 24 hour zine, thank you so much, sorry it's taken me a couple of days to get in touch. I left a comment on your blog as well, for the world to see your awesomeness :) As ever, beautiful drawings, and a nosy peek into your thoughts, the true hallmark of a great zine. I hope you got your parcel ok, and that you liked it. :-)
Hey YOU! I owe you a more formal email/letter/chat but first just quickly, received your package :) thanks a bunch!! AND i have a proposal for you... re illustration work, I know you're fresh out of uni, so thought it worth asking if you would be interested in hearing of a proposal for illustrations on a comic project my husband is working on?? If you think you might be, email me and I will pass on details etc! Speak soon xox
wow i'm glad it arrived that fast! even as airmail, the national postal services website says it takes up to 5 business days. maybe it was because i sent it from the central post office at Porto city, since i also had other stuff sent to the UK that arrived at the same time as yours ;)
of course i'd like to hear(read) your thoughts on my first zine, feel free to do so. glad you liked the little package ^^ xo
Have answered my own questions upon completion of this issue of Larry! oh, and I really enjoyed it! will send you some snail mail compliments as too much to write here :) So many things I wanted to say out loud as I read through this issue, would have been a great get to know you conversational type piece of work.. you could meet a stranger, hand them a copy and let them read it and address you along the way for a full experience of you inner pieces.. no?! ok, it was late and it made sense to me at the time ;) Will get writing, just wanted to say I enjoyed Larry and thanks again heaps for trading :) Tasha x
Your Zine arrived today!! Haven't read it all yet, but really enjoying! Larry!! I liked getting the flyers too, are you a booking agent on the side or member of or friend of the bands?? I will write again once entirely consumed ;) thanks again for trading!!! Tasha :)
Thanks for your kind comments about 'this is water' - much appreciated as its my first solo zine project. I would love to trade you for a copy of 'Larry' if you would be up for that :+)) it may be a few weeks down the line though, I'm unhappy with how the zine has printed out of my rubbishy old inkjet so I'm going to purchase a decent b/w laser - I'll be in touch when I'm sorted and then we can arrange an exchange if ya like!
Nope. Don't like making a fuss, especially when I probably only felt sick because dad was in a mood. lol. I did try to find some meds in the end but all I could find was bandages and germolene. I don't think that'll work for a headache and bad stomach so...I just went to bed.
Yeah, everyone's out looking right no but the thing about most is they're bothered. My brother doesn't seem so bothered. Me and my mum were trying to explain why it would be a good idea for him to go and ask coffee republic why he didn't get the job. He still doesn't see why he should do that. I think the idea of learning from his mistakes is alien to him.
Hmm, Well, if I'd really wanted, I could have been out on the hunt as soon as this school year is over but I'm off to college. Woohoo! 5 A levels. What the hell am I thinking? I believe I've gone more insane than I already am.
I actually have a zine drafted at last. It just needs writing up. I have no idea how to manage it with the computer. Seems a lot of hassle and I'd also have to steal my brother's laptop, since he has publisher. My zine includes nothing but random crap. Go me. :)
