An Exhibit & Workshop On Underground Publishing
Curated by Grrrl Zines A-Go-Go, this is not just an exhibit, but an active exploration of zine culture and production, including a "Scrap Lounge" in which visitors can create their own zine. Zines are the print media of an "alternative" culture that turns out not to be so alternative after all. Self-published & without censorship, zines are raw culture, not mass media that relies on the wealth of advertising for its editorial decisions.
