Quite a fun zine day. Change the World in 7 days, and 50:50 #2 went to the copy shop, along with the Art of Procrastination and 50:50 #1 which are being reprinted! This makes me ridiculously happy, although only 40 were printed in the first place. I never ever imagined that 40 different people might want to read them. (I know, in the big scheme of things, 40 is really really small, but this is all new to me!).
I wanted to pick them up tomorrow, but I use the Uni copy shop, and forgot that it was Freshers Week so everything is totally overrun. So I'll be getting them on Monday. I was hoping to be able to be doing chopping, folding and stapling over the weekend, but such is life.
Second cool zine news. I sent some copies of the Survive Issue of Rebel Grrl Zine to some survivor organisations as freebies, just to express support for what they do. One of them emailed me this morning and the woman said she thought it was excellent, and would she have my permission to copy it to give to women they think it would help! Yey! I replied and said yes, but that I would prefer it was copied in its entirety rather than extracts, and that I'd really like to get an idea of how many she does.
I'm contemplating doing a perzine-type issue of Rebel Grrl Zine but am finding myself horribly insecure at the prospect. I don't want it to be self-indulgent crappy stuff that noone cares about. Maybe I should just write anyway and see what comes out.
