Wollongong Zine Fair haul

Well, it was a great zine fair to start with... I got to run a zine workshop and be on a panel with some other zine makers. Unfortunately, I was stuck behind my table for most of the day and only got the briefest window to go and see what was about.
My favourite thing that I picked up was a one-off zine by Prado Marin. I really like getting the only copy of something, and this one is very nice. It's a sewn-together collection of bits of magazines, collage, graph paper, tracing paper, etc. The usual stuff, I suppose. But there is a certain freshness and spontanaeity to the the text Prado has added, such as: 'I hold on for fear of letting go go', and 'Bingo bango ping pong cha cha'. I also bought a bunch of other collage zines off Prado that were in editions of 5. They were quite nice, but next time I see her I'll be recommending that she uses a thicker paper to print on, as the inkjet prints are visible on the opposite side of the paper.
Next up: the much-lauded 'Happy Times Comics and stories #5', by Ilya Milstein. It was a good read, particularly the final story, but my copy came with a creased back cover that's really going to hurt he resale value.
Other zines of note: Trash Maths #1, #2 and #3, which I've been wanting for ages, and highly recommend, twenty six lies/one truth (a trade), a perfect bound collection of writings by Ben Peek and illustrated by Anna Brown, which I haven't got around to reading yet, and Flaps' Architecture in Smithfield.
