WMZ art quiz - test your art smarts and good luck (5/23/11)

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:

From 1872-1914, this city became the fastest growing city in history.AND an architectural leader of the world. AND all this from a barnfire! Name the city.

IS:Chicago, USA. The fire was Sunday evening October 8,1871 and burned almost 4 square miles of the city. You've heard about Mrs O"Leary's cow kicking over a lantern? But that is an urban myth... isn't it? For more see http://www.thechicagofire.com/.  Strangely enough the wind shifted and though the O'Leary's barn burned, their house did not.The years following led to a great rebuilding, that in the 1880's, ushered in the new type of architecture - skyscrapers.
We had no winners, seems y'all were milking the wrong cow on this one.
