i'm not sure at this point. i offer you "i was thinking about having myself a mustache" (75 out of context quotes from people i know).
it was to be a zine. now it is a zine that is pamphlet stitch bound with mustard yellow paper. this is the only bookbinding method i know, it was taught to me by my darling friend meaghan who should be a bookmaker but instead makes hats for a living. its an insanely simple way to bind a book/zine. i am still treating this project like it is a zine, but it looks more like a book now that it is finished. if i say its a zine does that make it so?
i want to be a far more interesting and prolific zinester in 2010 to mark my 10 year anniversary of cut and paste. folding pages and blasting a staple into it all is perfectly fine for many things. i love my long arm stapler to death, even though it is rusty and tempermental. however, this zine about quotes begged me to be something more than the average zine, it wanted to be handbound in mustard yellow paper. it wanted to be the zine that is treated like a book.
this is not the first handbound zine i've made, shop.list is also handbound with an even more elaboarte cover than any zine should probably have.
so.... the new zine. "i was thinking about having myself a mustache."

40 some odd pages, black and white photocopy, handbound with a mustard yellow cover.
$6 or trade of comparable value.
a labour of love to start off 2010. godspeed little book-like zine. godspeed.
