Use Your Words (Press) is a new art collective here in Olympia that we have the pleasure of being a part of and helping start in the last month or so. We are real excited because this Sunday is our first event! If you are in/near/around/passing through the Olympia area, you should come! It goes something like this:
Zine Readings!: Alexis Wolf (reading from her new issue of
Ilse Content), Ariel Birks (reading from the upcoming issue of
Jesus Christ Superzine), Joshua James (reading from
Basic Paper Airplane), Amina Kirby (reading from her really amazing upcoming issue of
Sugar and Heartstrings)and Gina Sarti reading from an awesome children's book she wrote.
plus...
Music!: Blood Bones, Sara Lankutis
All followed by a Little Mermaid viewing and sing-along.
Baksale and plenty of distro goodnesses for sale to benefit.
@ The Northern 321 4th Ave Olympia
4pm-9pm
$5
Then on July 16th we'll be having a secret cafe at The Alamingo to raise money for our trip to the Portland Zine Symposium! yay. Many local veggies (some as local as our gardens) and homemade kombucha cocktails...yum.

And, in totally unrelated news: I started a music/mp3 blog called
