a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I have some 'splainin to do.
Today, I just got almost all of the mail that has been sent to my PO box since July, 2013. It is a lot of mail:
The dilly-o was that in July, I got one of those yellow cards that said I had too much mail for my box. It was after hours, so I figured I'd just pick it up next time I went during regular hours.
Since July, I was getting some mail, but not all that I had expected. People were sending me things and asking if I got them, and no, I hadn't! I had no idea what was going on.
Then I found the yellow card under the seat of my car, where it had slipped that day in July.
I went to the post office today with the card, hoping that they still had whatever it was from so many months ago. The clerk's eyes got wide. She told me that she had been saving my mail since July, and she thought I might have died.
Now, I have no idea why I was getting some pieces of mail and not others, or why she never again alerted me that I had a huge bin of mail sitting back there.
The point is: My apologies. I try to be really on-the-spot about getting back to people and acknowledging their trades or Zines for Troops donations. I promise, I wasn't neglecting your stuff!
Now I have to go sort through all of this. . .
