We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

Most readers know about my music and writings, but little about my artworks. This post celebrates one of my latest works. I hope you enjoy it.

Late at night on October 29th and into the 30th 2010, I finished my 4,900 art work.
(For a photo of the work, see this email or if not there, go to the Musea blog:

The title is RECLINING WOMAN. It is not my best work, nor my worst. But it is a good average sample and by chance it is #4,900.

This started out as a smaller drawing done August 5th this year. I then took that drawing and made larger photo copies of it. Then I took one of those copies and added colored pencils, pencil, black marker, and even a little white out. Sadly the photo doesn't show the rich brown colors of the hair, the deep black background, or the pale beige of her dress. The photo also looses the details of her facial expression. But it'll have to do, and I did dress it up by placing it in a frame I had.

I hope you enjoy "RECLINING WOMAN", art work #4900. Let me know what you think.
