We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

Guten tag, now I am studying German. can anyone recommend any language-learning books or resources, or German culture I should know about? At the moment, I am just using Livemocha, apps, and You Tube videos to study. This works well enough but using a tangible object (such as a workbook) I imagine would add another helpful element. Any suggestions?

Work on celestial nightmare volume 3 is on the way. I generally do the playlists and then go from there, as the playlist content will influence the nature of the design within in the zine -> page, and will set the tone for the art and fonts used around it. So I'm not very far along with the playlists but coming up with ideas for comics, how-tos etc. My "target audience" with my zine would be people with similar tastes to my own....and most people who like the same things as me don't get zines. This proves very. very. very frustrating. I really just don't get it, why some people are so epically uninterested in anything remotely foreign to them. yes, I can "just draw stuff" and "like, copy it?". That's what a published book is, yes? It's just overpriced and mass-produced. But really, c'mon, same diff.

Well I'm going to work on Das Alphabet Teil 2 now.

things are better if I stay

so long, and goodnight
