I think issue #7 of RatBrat did its job...I'm officially in love with zines again.
Issue #6 was published in January or February after a year of being out of touch with the zine community--no trades, no distroing, no writing, no collate/fold/staple. Between that and issue #7, my love for zines and my connection to all you wonderful zinesters has been rekindled.
It felt soooo good this morning to go to the post office at 8 AM and mail out 5 or 6 zine trades. I have to mail out zines to Things You Say Distro (Hi Erin!) tomorrow or Thursday and I'm waiting to hear back from two other distros about possibly carrying my zines. I'm so excited!
I'm not exactly sure what I want issue #8 to be about. I'd like to do something themed, but it will probably be a lump of perzine randomness as usual. :-) I'm becoming kind of fascinated by mini zines as well, and I think I'm going to do the 24 hour zine project this year. I'm just happy RatBrat has made it this far; the furthest I've ever gone with a zine was issue #6 and that was my first zine back in middle school, haha.
Tonight I'm toasting to feeling ziney!
