While we've added lots of great zines this month, I wanted to mention how great I think our feature of the month is. It's not zine or music, but a double cd audio documentary called I Want To Do This All Day Long
, which is about radical education/alternative education programs in the U.S.
Amber and Amina, who made it, traveled across the country and visited 22 different free schools, new schools, and the like, interviewing people and giving thoughts on what they saw working. It's really amazing and I think people should check it out. I was selling it last year at the Portland Zine Symposium (before we were a distro) and it sold better than anything else, people loved it and i saw how interested people are in restructuring the ways we learn (and are taught to learn) in this country. I'd encourage everybody to check it out (even though it's not a zine. pretend you're blind and somebody starting making zines on tape). -jj/mvpd
