POEMS

1.

Light is a merry prankster

and seldom the real article.

When it dresses up it's a wave.

When it doesn't it's a particle.

2.

Gossip says that she

so feared not being thin

that she would never weigh herself

with her contacts in!

   (name that British Film Star!)

3.

I went down

the Rabbit hole

and found there

Lewis Carroll.

Then after that

i went through the glass

to an empty place

that 'panes' me to say,

had only one chair

and only one there.

Nothing much 

to report but this -

a sitting one,

Carroll, Lewis!

4.

The first signals Earth

received from space

were not what we expected,

"S-O-S!"

   (a short story in 4 lines)

5.

I made a list

of words that grew on trees:

bark, fruit,

branches, leaves.

Then I decided

to make another;

smell, shade,

bend, color.

Then going further

I made one more:

forest, two,

three, four.

Finally I decided

to finish my list;

living, thing,

future, past.

By that time,

a little later,

I still had ink

but no paper.
