Poems written in July 2012
Comments welcome.
[poem notes in brackets like this]

1. [For a work in progress, I call 'Writings In Science']

bigger worlds
smaller worlds

this dirt trail
through the hills
breaks into
many paths

3. [She wrote in her diary]

He grabbed a branch
and snapped a twig.
That was the last
I saw of him.

4. [A favorite, though I have no children]

I drop a feather
into the well.
My child says,
"It'll never land!"

5. [Based on a haiku by? Does anyone recognize it?]

a puff of wind
a petal falls
brushing a leaf ...

All the birds
fear the hawk
except the dauntless
paper kite.
