After brainstorming and comming up with a list of names for my zine, I still didn't have one that I really liked. I decided to just start cutting letters out. I've got this stack of typerwriter key letters that I got a couple of years ago from one of the craft stores here in town.
They were ten cents a peice so I bought the whole stack.
Anyway, I'm cutting out letters while these different words are going through my head and it hit me, foggy docks, but since I really love these letters and wanted to use more than just a few of them I decided to spell it the way it sounds. A phonetic expression. So Phaugey Dox was born.
Yay! My creation has a name.
It's going to have babies very soon after it's complete. The lack of handy conviences such as copier/printer is going to make showing it fun. I've got access to this digital camera but I still haven't found the right distance to get really clear pictures with it. It's the best I've got so it's better than nothing at this point. It's been an issue when taking pictures of my art as well.
I would like to get a better camera at some point, but have to wait until some work sells to do that.
It's either that or I win the lottery and if that happens I'm setting up a propper studio with more space than just a chair and limited lighting. A good table and the space for it would be good to have.
But for the moment I'm working with what I have. It may be very limited, but it's improved from when I was living in my truck. So I honestly cannot complain.
Anyway, my first zine is almost done. (Doing the happy dance)
