The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
His San Francisco architect’s drawings were “discovered in 1990, stacked in piles in the garage of a recently deceased tenant. The young woman who discovered the drawings decided to take them to a San Francisco gallery owner for assessment…. Upon reviewing the drawings, (she) could not believe what she was seeing: on thirty-nine sheets of vellum were drawn the most detailed, fantastic buildings—whole cities, in fact—apparently dedicated to and representing actual people known to” (the artist). Name this ‘outsider’ artist. (Quote from M. Pittman).
A.G. Rizzoli. His architectural drawings are remarkable, and I encourage you to check them out. Unlike most outsider art, these are extremely technically proficient as well as artistically wonderful.
The winner was Tom, from Tracy California
