We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

...are (finally) being added. And more on their way.
I've been a little confused on how to go about shipping charges and have been doing this $2 flat rate (in the U.S.) that allows people to buy as much as they want and it will just be two bucks of shipping, which seemed great for people who wanted two records, a cd, and a zine, but kinda sucked when someone just wanted one zine. So, now there's no shipping on zines and the price just kind of includes shipping. It's hard to keep the super cheap prices that zinesters expect and still pay the zinesters you're distro-ing, while also paying USPS and Paypal. It's tricky. And international shipping...i don't even know. Any advice?
Here's what I added today:
All the Ancient Kings- The wacky comic adventures of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Hunter S. Thompson, Leonard Cohen, and Warren Zevon. ($4)
How Life Became Unbearable- A comic biography of the (modern) adventures of Saint Francis and Clare of Assisi.($5)
Venus in Blue Jeans- Julia Gforer's comic journey through constant crying, baby eating, and wanting to die. ($4)
Later this week I'm going to add:
Ilse Content #8 (pretty much the best zine ever)
Funwater Awesome #'s 1, 2, and 3 (really amusing and great zine about Tumwater, Wa)
Gardening (a charming, and really useful, guide to home gardening out of Vancouver, B.C.)
We also recently restocked Shadowy, which is a really amazing compilation zine/cd about ghosts and imaginary friends.
Thanks to all who check it out, I really want to sell more zines, but it seems like, other than libraries, most people just buy music from us and I absolutely love all the zines we carry and it's a shame to see them not get out there more.
Take care. -MVP/JJ

For anyone curious, we had to raise the prices on the comic zines because we were undercutting another distro too much. Sorry to anyone who were attached to those prices!

No, I think these are actually the first comic zines we've carried. Thanks for the complement! That's really sweet. The gardening zine does go into urban gardening some and guerilla gardening, too. If you're interested, you could send me yr e-mail and I'll put you on our monthly mailing list.
