I'm a member of this group for a good reason. All people, mental illness or no, deal with feelings of alienation, loneliness, heartbreak, chaos, anxiety, and paranoia to a certain degree. I know--I'm definitely not mincing words here. Nonetheless when I'm lonely or down, it has often been mental health-related art that has transcended me from my problems. I honestly feel that when people laugh at others with mental illness, they don't even know what they're laughing about. Their laughter is probably part of their illness as well. People are taken aback when I say this, but they can then often make themselves sound or look pretty stupid with their immediate responses! I'm curious what other people suffering from mental illness feel about this topic, and I might just post it on the discussion board.
