Let's see, what's up in my zine world this week... i taught a workshop at the IPRC about selling zines and things on Etsy and I also educated everyone on the Joy's of We Make Zines. it was fun! I volunteered at Wordstock
on Saturday but I didn't make it to the IPRC Text Ball because my old housemate Abeni showed up with her baby so we hung out and ate candy instead.
Sunday was my shift at the IPRC. Sunday is usually pretty dead but the place was hopping last week! Bea from the UK interviewed me for a project she is working on for school and I made a bunch of photocopies. Strangely enough I am running out of zines again after a marathon of packing for distros and shops yesterday. I also made a ton of buttons on Monday but since yesterday was a holiday and there was no mail service my pile of mail is too big and won't fit in my mail box. I'm going to have to go to find a drop box and maybe stop to eat at Beaterville.
It is a busy week. I have and IPRC meeting tonight, D&D on Thursday. Paul's new band he just joined (Molly Bang
) is playing a show Friday, Saturday I have an Artist Tea for the Word gallery
show at 1pm (come by and ask questions about zines). I also have a cooking date with my friend Jess. She is a beer and wine steward. She bring fancy wine and I make food to eat with it. Sunday is my IPRC shift. Monday I'm getting a rental car for a few reasons. One of Paul's other bands I am My kat
is playing a show we need to move equipment. Then I hope to disappear up to the Riverhouse and work on Stolen Sharpie Revolution for a few days all alone before Paul's birthday and my whole family gets here for Thanksgiving.
I also got my ticket to Salt lake City for the Alt Press Fest
on December 5th. This will be my third trip back to SLC this year. I haven't done that since paul still lived there. I don't know exactly what all is going on there but there are readings and tabling and even some after hours events with bands and such.
That's it for now. I need to get out of bed and get dressed before headed to the credit union and getting some food.
